Hey guys, i decided after my dark eldar couldn't handle the damage from my friends orks and space marines to go with my favorite chapter next to the dark angels. I started my own successor chapter i just dont like the name for them the hands of sanguinius. The colors i am thinking of so far is half Blood Red and then boltgun metal on the other half with a codex grey to cut down the sheen of the metallic color. Anyone else got a good color idea, and a name idea please be willing to put it out there. They recruit from prison planets, and their gene-seed is that of the flesh tearers and their founding chapter.
Any ideas would be great message me or respond on here for the chapter stuff, the colors is what i need to get down.

Wherever and whenever they appear they leave only destruction in their wake; they are the Lords of Death, Bringers of War. The Dark Angels.

I've seen good recipies with Flat Red from Vallejo. The red looks, well, flat. That ought to go well with a duller boltgun metal. You could also paint Mephiston Red (GW's colors are brighter, and shinier) but will hold better than Vallejo Model Color.
You could also use Boltgun metal, a light wash with Badab Black, and very sparse and thin highlight with Mithril Silver (but only after the wash).
The red could be highlighted with Tallarn Flesh (it looks better than outright pink or orange) or, preferably, Old Rose (I think) also from Vallejo.

thanks i am working on a friend space wolves army, and his poor marines have been my paint test subjects he agreed to it since he has a 100 goblins to work on. I got so many things to do with my vampire counts and dwarfs i can't wait to paint something that is not a skeleton or a zombie/
