I was wondering what colour would be best to highlight this Red with? I was thinking Blazing Orange then Vomit brown but after a little testing it looks like they are too bright for this colour, any other suggestions?
Cheers

Well if it were me I wouldn't highlight past that red you are starting with. Red is tricky... so easily your model becomes orange or pink.
Imo add deep and contrasting dark shadows. Do you have that red only in aerosol or can you also reapply with a brush?

I have it as an aerosol and some in a pot I can apply with a brush,

Show pics when you're done. I have a somewhat similar scheme except its Tin Blitz highlighted with Blood Red and Blazing Orange to make it look like the armor is still hot from being forged. There's some fan fic. behind it, but that's beside the point. Point is, it can be pulled off and it's actually quite simple.

So a Blazing orange Highlight you suggest?

Here are a couple of pictures with the red highlighted with Blazing orange alone, No vomit brown. Ignore the other parts of the model as it was painted in 15 mins purely for the highlights.

That looks fantastic! Blazing Orange used sparingly can be a good edge highlight for reds.

Excellent, with a bit more time spent on them (to sort out that wobbly highlights on the shoulderpads ) I should get them looking good.
Any more comments?
