After years of playing with unpainted or primed models I finally got around to painting my Tyranids. I am new to painting to I am happy with this as a first try. But I am not sold on the fleshy parts purple.

Do you think that it works with the model or should I leave them the color of the skin and just leave them shaded by the wash?

The green works less for me then the purple personally butttt

As far as the purple itself goes I think it looks fine, it would be easier going if the other colours had some purple tinge to it but really a quick wash and some minor highlighting on the purple will really bring it out to stand out a little more fluidly amongst all that bone.

Thanks for the feed back. The green I think will make more sense when the army is done because green will be the color of the carapase. So it will be more prevelent on other models

Personally i like the purple as well! And I think the bone color you have their would like striking with purple carapace!

To answer your question though.. the parts you have painted purple should not be purple if you intend on keeping the green. I would paint those areas the same color as the rest of the model and wash them several times with either devlan mud or syphia to dark them up..because they are in a recessed area of the model where light wouldn't hit them.

Going to echo the other suggestions, drop either the green or purple. It will look goofy with both imo.

But they are your models, I know not everyone agrees with my schemes either.

I think you'd help yourself more by pulling a great contrasting base color together first prior to messing with the scheme further.

Perhaps a redbrown? Then you can decide if you need to change up or add more. I think both colors work just fine with what you have going.
