So I received a titan from a site and it was shipped assembled...Sadley even though well packed it was not assembled whne I received it. It had spun off at one ankle and went ploin shaped from there. So this is a attempt to make repairs and eventually paint it, funny thing is I really wanted a Imperial one instead, however I like the Warhound so I got it anyways.

Regards,
Carl

No, spraying three colors on your minis does not count as painted! 5k+

Hello,
Round two, I have figured out that resin items do not like glue and seriously need pinning, however here is Grendel with some paint and partially asssembled. I did have a bone look in mind for the armor and did not want to much of a clash with trim, so tell me what you think of my choices so far.

Regards,
Carl

Did you try using GW plastic glue for resin? (saw it in your pic)

You need to super super glue (I use crazy glue) and pinning. Resin and plastic glue doesn't work because plastic glue functions by chemically bonding plastic.

Good luck with your project.

Hello,
Actaully I do not have any GW glue, I have two kinds of super glue there and an "uncure" product. The big problem was weight in the one leg due to the pose, so I got my daughter to sit and hold it for a hour while it bonded

Carl

Hello,
Well further work has been done, including painting the other leg some, adding some more detailing, and working on the plasma cannon. Additionally I have started to paint some of the wires in his carapace. Normally I see epoel paint theses as a single color as if it were flesh or chaos leeching out. However as I have bbben painting him as a bone carapace, I did not want to go that route. The groin cover is partially done and not attached while the shin guards are mostly complete, yet not attached, I need to get some beaten bronze to highlight the metal. On to the pictures.

Regards,
Carl

Dead on shot, I realized I have to darken this area up some.

[Thumb - Grendel5.jpg]
Side veiw with the start of the plasma cannon, it is magneted in place

[Thumb - grendel6.jpg]
Rear veiw, this is with the coils and the venting, still in progress, I wanted a bit of contrast here to break up some of the bone.

This is the other side, with no cannon on it, still in progress, I do have the flame cannon and lascannon for it, just not really started, magnets are in place

I did this pic with no flash, mainly because I think the flash is a bit harsh on the color
