I haven't had time to take a new photo, but I painted the shoulder pads Ice Blue.

So, I was going to paint the army 1/3rd of each color, but Im wondering if I should stick to the green and red variants, or maybe just one of them.

But my main question is, I'm basing them with snow and I've never done basing before. I also want to experiment to see how the armypainter quickshade makes them look, but I dont know if I should I base the snow before or after I drip them? my gut is telling me after, but I really don't know for sure, I also ordered all 3 army painter ink washes, which I might try on a few models, but I want to try the quick shade as I really want to see how the glossy finish looks since I'm going for an Icy/snowy feel.

So I guess Im just wondering what you guys think I should do as these are the first 3 models I've ever painted. On a side note, I bought a second pot of White and watered the entire pot down just to try it, takes like 3-4 coats to get them white, but holy balls it looks sooo much better. Also, I've been reading up on some painting articles on the forums which give me some good tips, but it seems I have to be told things about 10 times before I listen, so any tips/constructive criticism at all is much appreciated.

I like what you've done with them. As for the basing question. I suggest using miliput and base them now instead of after as you'll be able to sculpt an uneven snow surface (small mounds) and miliput will take paint easily. If you do the basic 'basing' before undercoating it makes the final painting easier. Also try doing a very thin wash of blue over the white snow base then drybrush white.
In this case I think you should avoid the shade tones and go for the stark white look.

So, I should just try a Gloss Varnish to see if I like them shiny then?
