So I asked my buddy Mike to make me a custom Chapter Master for my Aurora Chapter Space Marine Army. I asked him for a Terminator with a bigger than average Thunder Hammer...
This is what he came up with. This dude has amazing skills. He custom sculpts half the stuff he plays with.
I can't wait to paint this guy. Gonna half to dig deep and give it a worthy paint job!

That is one giant arse Thuner Hammer. Do you know what it was before becoming the business end of a TH?
Also great sculpt. Just needs a equal paintjob to go with it now.

Thats a might impressive hammer. You should spend the points to mastercraft it if possible. =)
The only bit I dislike is the odd shield thing on top of the stormbolter. Does your Chapter use GK as a base book?

Nice kitbash and sculpt.
My only serious complaint is the hammer that is in no way useable in close combat. The head needs to be shrunk my 90% for it to be realistic for him to even be holding it, much less using it in close combat.

Great work, I do like that hammer even though it seems too big for my taste.

Looks like a Typhoon Launcher from a Land Speeder.
@ OP: Riddle me this, if this guy is a chapter master why does he still have a Psychic Hood?

Remember. This is 40k. There could be all manner of technowizardry going on with the hammer...
It could even have some limited form of gravity control to help wield it. Not to mention any servos in the terminator armour...
That said you do have a point about FF...

Aurora Chapter is an official Ultramarines successor. I just happen to like the Grey Knight Termie bodies. I don't ever play in tournaments (just prefer friendly games to ultra competitive ones), so the fact that he has a psychic hood doesn't matter. Besides, with WYSIWYG, I could always play him as a Librarian in Terminator Armor with Force Maul and Storm Bolter.
The head of the hammer is actually the missile launcher mount from a drop pod without the weapon on it.
My buddy doesn't have a blog or anything. He spends more time sculpting and painting than messing around on the internet.

It's actually the weapon mount from a drop pod without the missile front piece. The hammer's "power plant" at the top of the handle is a spotlight from the Ravenwing Upgrade Sprue with the light part filed flat.

He's a little bit of a technophobe. He tends to hang out at the Games Workshop store in Olney, MD. The manager there, Josh is a great guy and one of the best hobby managers I've run across. If you're ever near Baltimore/DC, stop in and ask him about "the termie with the giant hammer Mike made for Kris". If Mike is around, I'm sure he'd make something for you.
It only took him about two weeks to do this I think... and he was working on a lot of other things at the time.
