Seriously, I love this list. It's got everything a player needs.

The only thing I might consider is changing the body guards to normal crisis suits which will cause you to lose a TA but net a few points. You could likewise gain a few points by removing the Disruption Pods on the HHs. If you can get behind cover on deployment, they are worthless as you should always keep moving.

With your newfound points you could get TLs for your HHs so that they can target 2 squads (yes they are still there for vehicles) and/or some upgrades for your devilfish like a MT or TA. You could also give some special weapons to your Tac squad, Plasma is an attractive choice because of Rapid Fire.

I'm assuming you're going to use the Devilfish on the fire warriors, because they probably need it. Not that I love them but Warfish (with SMS) are better this edition because with a MT, you can fire both weapon systems. Also, unless it's been changed and I'm unaware, only Tau units can benefit from marker lights. Keep that in mind as boosting a stormtalon might be tempting.

I'm excited at the possibilities this list brings. Job well done.

You can save some points on the firewarriors. Upgrading to a leader to get blacksun on them isn't really worth it unless your shooting at orcs or gants or something with no armor save. Blacksun on high ap weapons is not worth the extra points against most armies since shrouding or stealth that night fight gives won't be better againts most armies armor anyways for a pulse rifle.

Anything with low ap, like your rail guns or plasma, should have blacksun for sure.

@Blue Rift - I would normally agree with you and run 1 'El and then 2 Shas'ui elites. I felt that I wanted to use the squad to either be deep striking or hunting paladins. If I was going to hunt paladins I would use the 3 suit setup I have now. If I'm using deep striking to engadge vehicles, I go 1 shas'El with TL Missile Pods and Pos Rel. I then run two TL Fusion Blaster, Flamer Shas'ui's to deep strike in and hunt. (with kill points being a 1/6 now. It's much better to split units up if you're not using the marker lights, or in my case the re-roll scatter on the Dfish.)

The disruption pods are on all the vehicles (Dfish /w path, and RH). I'm most likely one of the only Tau players you'll ever meet that routinely lands his vehicles behind hills so as to block LOS to things... If you land a vehicle at an angle infront of your Firewarrior squad and you shoot, you can, by the positioning of your vehicle pull the important models out of the enemy squad as you can only ever wound a model you can see.
This works both ways and you can use the landed vehicles to completely block los to units you're hiding. Jink does not work when you're employing your landing gear.

For the Hammer Head. I would go SMS and Target Lock if I was to go like that. When I position I always position to hit the target with the railgun, the rest is secondary. I've been just using the burst cannons as making the odds of making my Rail gun die goes from 50% to 33% at a cost of -10 points.

For the Marines, I considered two options. Straight basic, and Plasma gun, Combi-Plasma, Plasma Cannon. Because of points, and the fact I already had a helios squad. I decided to go with the basic.

For the Fish, I have been using them for the Firewarriors a little bit, but mostly they're for guiding deep strikes that the broadsides do with the librarian. Don't forget you can move out of the way before shooting, Shoot your firewarriors, then flat out to go back infront of them to give cover. I've used this to great result, usually forcing the unit around the fish through cover to the unit... Usually they fail the charge and I still get an overwatch.
Sadly... Vespid are the only non-tau unit that can use Marker Lights. I'll just have to settle for the BS4/5 Stormtalon ;P

Let me know if you use the list. I would love to get more feed back.

@ Slagmar. I can see what you mean on the Firewarriors. Cover most likely isn't very important as their base save is a 5+.
Anything with low ap, like your rail guns or plasma, should have blacksun for sure. In your opinion, what upgrades would you take for FW?

:EDIT: General Thought.. I would really like a quad gun or Iccarus Las to try and alpha strike.
