Hi Dakka

After seeing all the amazing blogs here and constant nagging from a friend Ive decided to do my own.
But i didn't want to do just another Necron blog, so i decided to create a Necmarine army (Necmarine- a Space Marine with Necron tech)

So far all Ive done is one Necmarine warrior, a Ghost ark-made from a Rhino, and Ive started a Triach Stalker-made from AOBR dreadnaught.

only criticism is that maybe you should paint the eye on the scarab? Otherwise looking noice!

Alright, new update

Ive been working on my dreadnaught and i got a TL lascannon of a friend
Ive also got a scarab onto the sarcophagus and got it wired in

I was going to magnetize the melta and lascannon so i could switch between them

Long time player, forgot password, a shame. But regarding this thread my bit of criticism here is that the mash up is alittle off, as much as id like to glue everything in my bits box together to make a stunning set of "different" models, it would make me cringe to combine a loyalist army and face eating robot zombies, just cause. I strongly suggest that you create background and the most obvious route is of course "necrons taking over a small marine outpost, so son so forth". also i would suggest modeling the marines to be a bit more zombie like not in a literal movie zombie sense but more of a robotic decay like brainless pawns enslaved by the over lord type deal. Nice idea though.

I believe what happens is the scarabs shackle them selves to the unsuspecting marine. Hence the scarab on the backpack/carapace.

Interesting idea, though I think a dreadnought is a little small to be a stalker.

Perhaps something like (I was going to do this for Orkrons, but dropped the project):

1) Space Marines of the [Insert Chapter Name] chapter recieved high priority distress calls from Imperial Guardsmen stationed on the [Insert Planet Type] of [Insert Planet Name] regarding Xenos attacks.

2) Space Marines come to the [Insert Planet Name], but find the planet to be lacking in any humans.

3) Necrons (watching the space marines) have decieved the marines into coming to the planet to be tested as candidates for the reversal of the biotransference (Necron goal #1). Mindshackle Scarabs are deployed to bring the marines under control.

4) See OP.

(Slightly modified from the original, as with the Ork version, the Orks were there when the tomb world began to awaken, so the "orkrons" were placed into the Ork society to gather research.

thanks all for the feedback and Ive been working on a back story for sometime and ive just got to do some changes and make it more realistic

my next update will likely be about the back story and some pics for my Dread (got some feet so i will likely be starting the painting)

Also i have changed my original plan and will be having an necron overlord instead of a necmarine one
