The Missile Launcher Long Fangs deploy on the table into cover (ruins, ideally). With seven Pods, that means four in the first wave. This will be Logan's, to bust tanks, as well as the more vital of the others, depending on match-up. If more tanks are needed dead, the Combi-Meltas can help. If there is a horde to toast, the Flamer squad can help, while the others can toast TEQ/MEQ with Plasma. Also, the Divination RP will help with re-rolls To-Hit on Logan's squad - which should be sickening, as well as gives me a means to stop enemy Psykers on a 4+ where the bulk of the action is happening.

The Axes give me the S6 AP2 hits without the cost of a Power Fist - this should be suitable against most tanks rear armor and wounding on 2's against most enemies that matter. The Storm Shields can stand up front to soak up wounds and as characters, they benefit from LoS! rolls.

The Missiles try to put some hurt on flyers, but I think those will diminish with time as forces are slowly given tools to deal with them. With twelve missiles a turn going at a flyer, that is two S8 hits via Krak Missiles - not a lot, but against AV10/11 its going to Pen for a result (any are good, generally). Against AV12, it can hopefully at least shave off a HP on a 4+, with Pens being a perk if they happen.

I hope that at 1999 and 1999+1 events, this can holds it own. 15 Terminators and 32 Marine bodies doesn't seem overwhelmingly strong, but I could be understimating the Los! and 2+ saves a bit. With null deployment gone and the ability to punish people in their deployment zones, I think this will succeed a good chunk of the time. Its lack of mobility I tried to resolve with long-range weaponry and a deadly Alpha Strike.

Also, for fluff bunnies, this is going to be my Carchadorons army (finally) and I think its very suitable for their style. Not perfect, but has a lot of what I expect from them - in your face, brutality with an emphasis on pressure.

I really like how you're packing the Rune Priest along the Logan-Fang squad, that should prevent any challenge from taking Logan out of the equation on a brawl.

I can totally see this list smashing a lot of the gunline armies that seem to be popping with 6ed, however I fear its just too low model to face horde armies and too slow to handle fast vehicle spam (Dark Eldar come to mind).

Against hordes, I would deploy and just saturate them with drag. Fast armies I would try to deploy to cover board area with missiles. DEldar are AV10 mostly, which Krak can deal with. They will be challenges, but I don't feel many lists will be unwinnable. What do you think?

You might want to concider a few Mauls

Just threw that together - took out a single squad from the main list and the Rune Priest for a Libby and some DCo for a detachment. Think this is better or worse or just different than the other list? Not sure it needed this unit, but it seemed kinda gross on paper.

The Rune Priest is much better than the Librarian. You'll need the psychic defense and with hoods no longer working the way they did the 4+ nullification of powers is even more of a must have for SW now than when GK hit in 5th.

Good point. Was really the only place I could shave off the points for the BA Detachment. I lose out on psychic defense and a scoring unit and gain a hard-hitting hammer unit. Not sure if that is a worthwhile trade in retrospect, but I figured I would post it for posterity.
