Hey, I wanted to get some help from you guys because I am really interested in these paint schemes for Necrons and wanted to know how to do them.

The first thing I wanted to know was how to get that Orange tube source lighting. From what I can see I would maybe start with Wazdakka Red then Wild Rider red then finally Troll Slayer Orange, not sure of how to blend it after or if i should, like with a Wash/Shade or maybe even a Glaze. Not 100% on what I wrote above so any help on that would be great.

The other question I had was how to do the Shoulder armour on the Blue gunned Deathmark. On this one I draw a blank. I am relatively new to painting so... yeah, want to get better!

anyways, any help you guys can give me is much appreciated.

the main question is how much time you plan on each model as to get this type of quality would take several hours per model
are you familiar with wet blending as a technique? i can def tell you on the tubing for both models that is what they used.
in terms of the first dark blue/ orange guy i can tell you how they did it but with the old range (still havent memorized new equivalents so sorry if its confusing)

id say the range for orange lighting was blood red, white scars white, blazing orange, red gore, and possibly scab red in the mix.
gradually build the highlights and mix repeatedly to try and blend to get that smooth lighting effect. the actual shoulders look to be done with regal blue, space wolves grey or white scars white, and black. basically get as fine of an edge highlight as possible.

it looks to me like the second guy heavily uses washes. devlan mud and tin bits are in there. part of this almost looks non metallic metal so you might want to experiment a bit. weathering powders or the new dry brush range appear to be possibilities as well. experiment with bright colors and washes over in this guys case.
