Horrible Hekatrix With Hydra Gauntlets




Just a simple list I threw together based on the duality of a ton of firepower and a big assault blob ready to wreck just about anything if i can get enough mauls into btb. Krak grenades give me pretty solid anti-tank, on top of 2-4 S10 Large Blasts per turn, and I reckon I have enough bodies to cover objectives and plenty of plasma for whatever 2+ gets thrown my way, especially in concert with the Medusa. Overall strategy is to blob up the 40 guys in the platoon to form an almost indestructable horde, deploy the Manticore somwhere it won't be seen and rain death, plop the veterans on a home objective or use snap fire and the new rapid fire rules to have them advance, laying down supportive fire. The HWS can camp in the backfiled, preferably on an objective, and go for light tanks. Versus flyers, Bring it Down! and the HWS and/or Vets should do a pretty good job of punching holes in things. I can also use the Manticore to bombard whatever they have on the table, even if it's out of LOS, hopefully putting them in a very tough position while I play objectives with ~60 scoring bodies. My main concern is having the two artillery units popped early on against a force with a lot of heavy armour (you *could* get three LR at this points level...) since I only have three Meltaguns and they're not on the most accurate platform, but I'm hoping I won't face too much of this. The aformentioned triple LR is a pretty terrible list when it comes to objectives.
