I've been using some chaos space marines that i got for cheap to test out new paint schemes and i found one that looks like a cool blood angels paint job maybe? It looks like a marine jumped into a pool full of blood before going to war. I'd like to know what you guys think obviously i would still need to add more detail but this was just a test run

If you used a muted form of this technique as part of a cohesive color scheme I think it could look very striking.

In this form it is just too much.

i like it man, the darker look higher up draws you in. Keep up the good work

Yeah i was thinking if this was the primary color of the armor with a secondary color and picking out the details on the weapons and such it would look much better but as i said this is just a test dummy. Thank you for the feedback!

As I said I think you will find a solid scheme using this as the main color. What colors were you thinking of putting with it?

Maybe if it were a little more sculpted/painted on, as if there was a splash or something. A whole army done like this would make me think of candy apples...

Im not sure yet maybe white to contrast the dark red. What do you suggest?

a purple maybe, a bronze, or a yellow

Possibly Tamiya Clear Red? Makes for great blood effects.

with the bronze be careful you do not want world eaters, maybe a bronze and silver mix. Purple goes with almost anything but that is my opinion
