And forward I go.

All is assembled, readied for priming, and primed. That includes the twin linked heavy bolter, both sponsons with twin linked las cannons, and all the other attachments I could make from the kit (and some space-wolfication, but not too much )

More of the Land Speeders.

Rockets are magnetized, and so is the bottom weapon, so practically all options except the heavy bolter (who needs a heavy bolter anyways) are valid

The build is done, and its time to do some painting

Suprisingly those rhino's dont have that many mold marks. All of them seem to be in very hidden places, and they are very easy to get rid of. Only pieces that gave me some trouble were laz cannons (that were a bitch to drill as well.)

This afternoon was one of painting interiors Almost done

I admire how you spread out the FW doors instead of using them all on one. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with these!

Well, the both FW doors are on the same rhino, but its not the same one that has the FW front piece

I also had the FW space wolves detailing kit that I used on all of the rhinos.

Plan for tomorrow is to fill all the gaps, and prime the outside parts (and perhaps do the basecoat)

Looking really good, may i ask were the 'troops' are, not that they are the most important thing in the army but they help

In all seriousness its so gratifiying to look at a well painted army, may i ask how you did the weathering to the land raider as i would like to try something similar

keep up the good work

I've been working on this army for a while, with long-ish breaks. Half of the troops are already done, and the other half will be painted up once I finish these five rhino's/razorbacks.

Once everything is done I will make some "full force" shots and post them of course

As for landraider, I used standard scale modeling weathering techniques:

1. very mild chipping: stipple on some black to the edges, and then stipple on it some darker metal, wash it with "rust wash"
2. "rush wash" is a mix of matte medium, flow release, distilled water (les bursey's formula) and red and brown inks. I cant remember the ratios for the love of god, and once I run out of the batch i made i will be in trouble
3. rust streaks were made with the same wash. dab on a little, pull down with a finger
4. mud on tracks is weathering powder (of vallejo persuasion) mixed with matte medium
5. dust/mud on the lower part is also weathering powder, fixed in place with white spirit

The whole model god a thorough wash with burnt sienna oil paint to make it more interesting

It's all about the assembly line technique. If I didn't work that way, I doubt i would have them this far done in the time I invested. (thanks for kudos btw )
