I have a problem with deciding which colour scheme to go for, for Death Korps of Krieg.
I have painted one of each options in the hopes of helping me decide, but to no avail.

So now I'd like to have some inputs from you guys before I paint the rest of the squad.

And if you have any comments or critique of my painting, they are welcome as well.

I see your problem. It hard to decide because they both look great. That said I think I would have to say the red scheme as I think they will look more impressive when the army is all together.

Nice painting skills

Red for sure.

Just to be contrary to the other two posters I'm going to say the blue one, with just a little grey thrown into the mix...

With that being said I think that they look fantastic...

I like the red better as well, but I think you should lighten the brown/leather parts some and paint the inside parts of the coat (cuffs, flaps at the knees) a different color as well. Just needs a little more contrast.

The red looks nice, but personally I think the blue is better.

But i agree with pistolpete- yes, maybe if you lighten up the brown more, or make it stand out id like the red more. Those straps just seem to blend in a little to much for my liking.

Awsome painting on both of them! I would love to see more pics!

Thank you all for your inputs and kind words

I will start painting a third, which has red coat with blue cuffs. I will keep the flaps in red as I think it will be too much, with them in a different colour. The trousers are blue (hard to see on the pictures).
The gloves, mask and harness will be the lighter colour of the mask on the blue model.

I'll put up some pictures when it's done.

Go for red, hardly anyone does them red and it looks good imo.

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn.

I like the Red. Maybe a bit more gold to brighten up some areas? I'd imagine decorated grunts would have a few notations of seniority over a lowly private. I dunno.

I am also partial to the Blue, because.. well I bet you can guess.

Nice!! I think you've got a winner with the new scheme. Maybe just do the gasmask lenses orange or green or something and get to work on your army! Excited to see more of your work, it is excellent painting.

i reckon the blue, fits more with their grimdark background.

I would say the newer red one, nice to see a change from the normal DKoK blues/greys!

Very nice! The brown sticks out more now.

I was thinking about painting mine OD green for the over coats, and brown/tan for boots and the leather. I think by the end of the month ill be ordering my Dkok army. I want to use them at IG steel legion for normal use tho.

Blue definitely! It sort of has a scary, ghostly feel that sort of complements the fluff of Krieg being a toxic, desolate wasteland.

I have painted a couple in the 2nd red scheme. And I like it
It may not be as fluffy as blue, but I think it does retain some of the dark and gritty look associated with the Death Korps.
Though every time I glance at the blue one, I begin to think of a way to include a unit painted like that, without it looking messy or out of place. But so far I have nothing.

Anyway here are two more pictures.
