I entered the Warhammer world about 3 months ago and chose Orks as my first army. No one told me how many models there would be!!. After getting them all assembled I proceeded to make a case big enough to handle them all. I followed up by my first attempts at painting and all in all am pretty pleased how it turned out. If you have any tips or advice please post it and help a newbie out.

Added my newest 4 that I just finished. I think they are better then the last bunch but I will let you decide

You have a phenomenal number of Reaper paints back there. Part of me suspects that you partook in some other form of miniatures?

My wife bought me the reaper set for my B-day after I picked up the learn to paint kit and liked it. I have done the reaper learn to paint 1 and 2 and that is about all.

Looking great - especially for first minis...mine were done in the age old days of enamels. I do still have my first mini, but it is hidden away on a shelf in a locked box so no one can see

I also love the yellow, not enough Orks have this done or done right. Good job, keep up the work! Looking forward to seeing you tackle a battlewagon or trukk with this scheme......

The color scheme was actually brought on by a color wheel I bought because a how to paint book said I should get one. i knew I wanted blue because it is my favorite color so I was looking at the color wheel to see what would go with it. I was initially stumped for an idea until I turned the wheel over and saw a diagram describing complimetary colors and triads and what not. And what to my wondering eyes do appear but a triad of blur red and yellow. The blue and red were easy but getting the yellow to look right was quite a bit of trial and error and simple green.
