This is the first model I have ever painted. I used tips from youtube as well as tips from the citadel "How to paint minatures" book.

What do you guys think?

You think darkness is your ally, but you merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, molded by it, I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but BLINDING! The shadows betray you, because they belong to me.

Death-Dealing Devastator




Looks wonderful especially for a first ever. The highlights are clean, paint seems to be thinned properly.
Only critique would be the mold line running down the bolter, nothing makes a good paintjob look bad than mold lines.
It also looks like the barrel needs to be drilled (or at least have a black dot to symbolise the bore).
Base it and keep at it, we'll probably see some excellent models in the furture ^^
