Couple of things up front. I haven't done any serious modeling in 30 or so years so my hands are a bit shaky. (Some edges could be a bit tighter) I also wanted to use ONLY plastic card, plastic rod, 1/4 and 1/2 foam core and a couple of drinking straws. May also throw in some plastic and metal coat hangars for the larger plastic barrels and metal barrels of guns. Pretty much easy to get stuff at the local hobby store. I also don't want to resort to utilizing or copying anything from GW. Namely, tracks, hatches, doors, guns and so forth. Everyone seems to do scratch builds up to a point and then finish it off with the "pro" parts.

I got a copy of the Clousseau printout and made a couple of cardboard patterns to work from. The just started cutting. ;-) And measuring, and filing and drilling and drilling and drilling.

Mate, those pics are sweet, really well done so far! Can't wait to see the thing painted. The multi-layer armoured hull is great looking and the lines all look prettystraight and clean (although my only critique is the size of the rivits) Where did you get the plans for it? I've been scouring the web for papercraft/paperhammer stuff to build.

Mate it this build was any tighter it would be water proof (keeping it PC)

The mini raider is a great design, As has been said, I think the rivets are a touch big, but its not enough to ruin the build for me.

Is it only the one? Or will there be mutiples?

The pattern was easy to find. Literally there are just two pages with a couple patterns each. You have to do a little guessing to get it to come out right. Other than basic length there are NO dimensions on the plans. I will probably do up some scaled ones once my first build is complete. I will be building another but it will be all plastic card and plastic base, as well as being segmented. This way I can break it down to mold the pieces.

As far as the rivets go, I will admit they are a little big but I was guessing what I would need while standing in front of the plastic display at the hobby store. ;-)

Necro thread, I know, but was this ever finished?
I have just started my own build of a version of this and would love some more inspirational photos :-)
