Very nice, care to share your method, as that Armour looks amazing.

Very nice, my only critique would be to paint the rim of the bases.

They look great. The quality of the models from Dark Vengeance still amazes me. These models are fairly quick to paint up and give great results. Thanks for sharing.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

I don't like GW style with Space Marines looking a bit Tronish. I prefer more smooth finish let's say.

Doing that armour is simple, but just time consuming. I just updated my blog with instructions:

Very nice and agree your armour looks great! Also agree the method is simple if a little time consuming, I will give it a try as I'm trying a couple of methods on my guys to find one I like and get a good look with.

Nice squad. The green on the those troops is not as dark as I would have expected. It kind of mutes them and brings out a lot of detail that would have been otherwise obscurred. I like your bases too, I've been trying to figure out something for my own bases for quite a while now. Very good job, keep it up.

THE FUN HAS BEEN DOUBLED!!!

Really awesome work on the eyes. Not many people can do human heads as lifelike as that one there.

Awesome paint job, really nice job.

You think darkness is your ally, but you merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, molded by it, I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but BLINDING! The shadows betray you, because they belong to me.

Thanks for all kind comments guys I really appreciate this!

I may post something about painting faces, but to be frank it will be rather later than sooner. Work is calling

Do you paint the armour with an airbrush?

This. Black base rims create a negative space which I feel looks superior to the usual standby of painting the edge brown - this makes your miniatures look like transplanted garden flowers with the soil clumped on the roots!

A little bright, but otherwise great! The rims are already good, too.

The paint job is so smooth, I almost dismissed it as a one coat paint job till I realized just how much detail was actually popping out. Really really sharp paint work.

@JohnnoM: No, just ordinary brushes. Click on my blog for details.

@termin8r: It was wolf's gray first than 2 layers of white. It builds up more depth.

About rims: it's hard to see on the picture, but they are actually very dark brown: oak brown + black.
