Just last week I picked up an old armorcast reaver titan from a guy in town and have now set about converting, and eventually painting it . My first step is converting the one part of the model I truly dislike, and that's the head. After the head I'll move onto adding a bay onto the back of the Reaver from which 20-30 repair servoskulls will be flying out and performing repairs.

I decided to create a slide on attachment that looks similar to a medieval barbute helmet (http://www.gophoto.it/view.php?i=http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~jasen01/armoury/barbute-p.jpg#.UGJ0W41lTng), allowing me to change the face while still not forcing me to rip apart the beautifully vintage style head. Over the next week or so I'll be adding onto it and hopefully I'll have it done by next weekend which is my first apocalypse game.

Here is the face originally, and the first step of creating the jaw for the helm.

Step 2; added the top and intake (styled like a shortened greek plume)

I must say plasticard is really rewarding to work with

To clarify I'll be removing the T-section of the helm after most other details are added, for now It's there for structure.

Step 3; filed down the edges of the intake, and cit out the cross of the brow and mouth.

Tomorrow I'll be using green stuff to round out some of the edges and likely the brow area .

Opinions?

Looks a hell of a lot better already. I'm really not a fan of the way the old titans look, but if you keep going this way, it should turn out pretty cool!

And if it doesn't my ocd will make me scrap it and restart.

Added trim to the jaw, added a scar (I'll be adding a servoskull welding it back together later on), and rounded out the top and brow.

I'll try to add grating to the intake and try to sculpt the collegia titanica symbol to the forehead.

I'm leaving the jaw to close up a bit tonight and tomorrow I'll add on the final details like bolts and welding lines.

Think I'm pretty much done with the helm, I like how it turned out.
When I eventually get to painting it I'll put the pictures up here as well (Paint scheme: Ivory/Bone, Dark Red, and Burnished Gold)

Last step was adding on bolts, remaking the logo in a better version, and adding welding/monitoring servoskulls

Looks Badass. Like a mix between a greek hoplite and predator. Both of which are awesome

Realized that the local GW has it's Apocalypse game tomorrow so I switched from the model converting for creating a base for the titan and magnetizing it.

It's done mostly but I'll be using liquid green stuff to make some of the plants and earth look more natural.
