This is my first finished vehicle ever. It turned out as mostly a practice piece since I had no idea what I was doing. XD Actually It's the first model I ever put together.
Unfortunately having never modeled before, when I recieved my battleforce I just hauled out the drop pod (coolest piece in the kit) and glued it all together right away. (oops) I primed it black and blasted a red spray paint that I liked for a base coat onto so I could play with a "painted" drop pod. So if you can see little bits of dirt in the paint or even rough edges where it was connected to the sprue it's because I'm a dumbass. XD I won't be painting the interior on this one. I'm content with the black and it would be too hard/annoying to try to paint the inside with it glued together already. I may paint the ramps a different color but for now I cant think of a good color that will match the paint scheme so I left it.
I'd really appreciate any tips on how to do further drop pods or other vehicles that I did incorrectly on this one or ideas on how to improve it. (besides painting parts before glueing of course) Anyway, here it is!

Have you thought about dry-brushing the inside with a metallic colour, it really picks out the detail and doesn't need to be precise
The outside looks good to me

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. For the metallic do you mean just a light dusting on all the black interior?

Or you can use a dark stone grey

The colors are nice and smooth, and the combinations of red and gray work quite well. I'd do some more significant highlighting on the outside, though.
