Colette looks a fair amount better - the hat adds a lot back and the skirt looks better. She still has the same flat affect face too many of their figures have, which is a shame. The lack of facial expressions is why I tend to prefer my older metal masters in almost all cases.

Manequin looks good. Really looking forward to the coryphee, as those are a royal PITA to assemble in metal.

Plenty of new releases and box art doing the rounds today, March and April releases here:

The Ironsides Crew looks brilliant.

And further unspecified releases:

Molly Crew:

Lots of awesome there!

Right, noob questions incoming:

The 'Ironsides' crew, which faction is that? I'd guess Arcanists from the presence of the Mages, but I might be wrong.

And I'm guessing Tara is Neverborn?

And finally, while I'm here, how do mixed-faction Masters work? Can they use anything from either faction, or are there limits (and where can I find these limits?)

I have to say, Wyrd have some of the nicest 28mm plastic figs in the business, if you're into that pulpy steampunk aesthetic... even then there are some wonderful models in their own right.

That Troubleshooter box, everything to do with Ten Thunders and the Guild stuff just oozes cool!

Ironsides are Arcanists.

Tara is a dual faction Outcast/Resurrectionist

and I have never really understood the dual faction thing.

I think I prefer that Tara box to the Nightmare one! I'm glad about that. I like the Collodi, Ironsides and Molly boxes too. And the Pale Rider is cool.

Background wise: People often have divided loyalties.

Rules wise: you declare which faction you're going to use, and you can use that master (let's say Tara), as that declared faction only. So, if you've declared Ressers, you get the Resser upgrades, resser hiring pool, and do not get to hire Outcasts. Most dual faction masters, however, have a bit of built in flexibility in their hiring pool. Tara, for instance, can take "Dead of Winter" and that opens up certain options in her pool, regardless of faction taken.

Yeah I like the dual faction thing, although it's prbably gonna make me end up with every faction...

Right, I'm going to be broke this summer.

Good god there are some quality models there, really going to be tough to stick to my gremlins

I already have Neverborn and Arcanist models (without ever having played a game), and I'm liking the look of some of the Ressurectionist and Ten Thunders models...

And Guild, thinking about it...

I love how they now have a long release schedule. I will have to cheat my will power duel not to get Ironsides, but the those austringers will be mine come June.

So many shiny things. Brewmaster may even get me to step outside my beloved guild, what's not to love about drunken ninja gremlins?

I just bought Collodi (not that I care too much for Vasalisa anyway), but I'm very glad that the Widow Weaver is coming out and it will finally drive the price down on her metals.

(Plus it is now possible to mass-summon Teddies under the right conditions)

The crouching Austringer just looks off to me, but there is very little in this release that I can complain about.

I was hoping for Kaeris or Collette. Ironsides is cool, but I prefer my Arcanists to be more spellcastery.

Hard to pass up some M&SU models, though. Ironsides will have to do. I'm a fan of how she and the other Masters are decently low-profile.

I don't own Tara and never looked at her up close. Never realized the large hole in her chest until just now.

Whereas I think I am out of luck..

I want one or 2 of the models from within the starter decks to loot for my Wild West games, but I cannot justify the purchase of a starter just for one fig..

Anyone know if it is possible to get Mouse, Toni Ironsides, and Karina separate?

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

Order of St Ursula (Sisters of Battle): W-2, L-1, T-1
Get of Freki (Space Wolves): W-3, L-1, T-1
Hive Fleet Portentosa (Nids/Stealers): W-6, L-4, T-0
Omega Marines (vanilla Space Marine): W-1, L-6, T-2
Waagh Magshak (Orks): W-4, L-0, T-1
A.V.P.D.W.: W-0, L-2, T-0

Probably not, they don't appear to be splitting up crew boxes anymore. If there is a grunt type model they usually gets a separate box eventually but those 3 aren't grunts.

You could probably find someone who would take the Captain and mages off your hands if you bought the Ironsides box, and I'm not sure how popular Karina is, so someone might be willing to get rid of her.

Karina used to be pretty terrible, but they gave her an patch in the form of a 0ss upgrade, and now she's quite awesome, so less likely to end up as bits fodder. Not sure why you'd run her without Tara though.

The new plastics look good, though I'm already betting anything crouching is the wrong scale. I'm glad I got the Nightmare Tara though - the running poses don't do it for me (same w the new Von Schill).

Well, that would be illegal besides being limited, re: karina. Porkuslime just wants it for another game.

I might end up getting another Tara crew if my circle ends up using avatars, so the action pose would be converted to an avatar (and I can probably use more wretches), but otherwise, yeah, I definitely prefer her and karina's more static poses.

I think I prefer Karinas static pose, but I hated the nightmare Tara model. I much prefer the running one. Luckily, seeing as I'm probably not gonna get a Nightmare one now haha.

Well my Gremlins are going to get the expansions they need. I can already see myself grabbing the Brewmaster and Whiskey Golem. Merris is already paid for.

My burgeoning Guild Crew is going to get a few new toys as well.

And I can see myself starting an Arcanist crew with the release of Ironsides.

Arrgh who am I kidding. I will probably end up with 95% of the stuff released this summer...

Weren't they looking at an entirely new production company due to customer complaints about how the current plastic were cut up for casting?

IIRC, Miss Ery was a test model from the new company.

Just got the email about the Easter Sale, annoyingly I spent about £120 on Malifaux the other day and can't afford to get anything. I'd love the war rabbit, and I got Dreamer, could've got the limited one, and I want Kirai, could've got the limited one... -.-
