Hello guys (& gals).
A friend and I simply can't agree on how to resolve shooting attacks from multiple template weapons, fired by the same unit. One of us interprets it like this: You resolve each shot independently, placing the template, tallying the number of hits, roll to wound, remove casualties, and then place the next template and repeat the process.
The other interpretation is this: You place each template one at a time, tally the number of hits for each template, add the number of hits together, roll to wound, and then remove casualties.

Any help in clarifying this would be much apreciated.

This one.
A units shooting is simultaneous. Work out all your hits, then form wounds into pools etc etc...

Grendel is right. It is quite possible and pretty easy to get more hits than there are enemy models in this way.

To back up grendel, p52 Multiple Templates makes it clear that you work out the hits for each template first.
