Dublin

Well, new country for me at least, the country itself isn't new.

So I just moved from France to Ireland (West Dublin to be precise) and brought some of my precious and cherised toys with me.
I'm 28 and have quite a lot of free time as my job isn't really time consuming.
I'm quite experienced when it comes to wargaming and tabletop miniatures warfare but I must say I tended to avoid most forums until recently, I try to steer away from the troll caves and the "meta" lists.

This said, it might seem like I'm saying everybody here's a troll, which I found out to be untrue, most of the posts I've read through were pleasantly enjoyable with constructive comments and ideas.

So after this lenghty introduction ...
As said above, I'm new in West Dublin (more kinda South West actually) and looking for players around and / or an online community to keep in touch with the Games Workshop playing community (and otherwise geek crowd that congregate around gaming tables, be it miniatures, RPG, wargames, boardgames ...)

On to Games Workshop games now,
I started with WHFB a long while back (was a RPG / boardgame / wargame player even before that) with the goblin / elf boxset and a few years after that with the early 2nd WH40K edition.
WHFB then got more and more into the background as my small gaming group evolved with the inclusion of a lot of new players that all chose WH40K, so my dirty and smelly rats are quite dusty (and still in France)
In the same vein, I only brought along my Dark Angels as my Imperial Guard is kinda bulky (even though it's not your usual IG, no AV12 spam, that's for pussies, real men trust the Emperor as their only shield ! and a few Russ howitzers ...) but they're eager for a few bad guys to purge
I don't do "internet army lists" either, I believe in versatile and quite fluff-oriented armies, with which I managed quite a few decent spots in tournaments by the way. Creative and out of the box thinking tend to be a big surprise for a lot of guys in competitive gaming ("what, you don't have any AV12 in your IG army ? But my fully meta-game oriented army is going to be useless!" ... Yep)

Apart from that, I don't think I will write a lot of stuff on the forums, I tend to read much more and only give my advice when I think it's really relevant

So, i guess it sums it up pretty well, feel free to ask anything you'd be curious about

NB : I don't play them, but as you can see I love horde armies and green coloured guys, so go team Ork !

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
