Why doesn't Kharn wear armour on his right arm? It can't be to speed up his attacks because power armour has "muscle" fibres in it to enhance a marine's strength. Is there anything in his fluff about this that I haven't found yet?

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Hehe, good reply.

Fluffwise I'm not so sure. Maybe Kharn is just so strong that he doesn't need it and too crazy to realize that he is even missing that part.

its's code. I think Slaanesh inspired it, which is why Khorne is pissed at her/him/it. Think gay scene colour codes

Bare right leg.....
Bare left Leg....
Bare left arm...
Bare right arm 'IM GONNA RUIN YOU! but not in the way you think!'

If Kharn finds out, he will be even more angry than usual.

Blood for the blood god.

It's mentioned several times that Kharn just doesn't give a rats ass about his own protection, ignoring poisoned pit stakes, not caring about demonicaly poccessed whips, and just not seeming to care about damage at all, even to his own body.

Probably to make the artwork/model look better is the main reason but here are some alternatives:

1) His armour simply wasn't enough to contain his buff-ness.
2) He uses that arm for..... (explicit)..... and hence that arm is bigger than his other.
3) Secret Slaanesh Worship.
4) For the purposes of raising threads like this.
5) So badass, he doesn't need armour.
6) He does this to prove he is worthy to wield Gorechild, by having no armour on that arm he proves that with his muscle alone he can use Gorechild. (without servos in armour etc to help him.)

My personal love of Khorne/Kharn dictate that it is because he is a badass, however I think he just number 2)'s too much

I gotta agree with bad-assness and kittens being the reason he doesn't wear armor on that arm.

TBH he's probably had the same armour for 10,000 years and it probably go damaged along the way and he's never stopped long enough to try and replace it

I actually fear that a honey badger could probably take Kharn or any other Special Character in a fight.

Go to youtube and look for the video of the honey badger fighting a poisonous snake, honey badgers know no fear.

The unarmoured arm is kinda' like a daemonic gift. In the FFG Black Crusade book, it is called "Arm of Khorne" and gives some minor Strength bonus (porbably not enough for the S5 on the tabletop).

Good question. I can only guess that in the 10 thousand years he's been fighting, his arm armour got wrecked and so he has to go on without it.

Agreed.

The World Eaters, well Angron, came from a slavery/gladitorial background and this imagry inforces that. if you look at Roman glatiators they often had naked limbs. Angron also has a cape/cloak of chains that represent his slavery so the chains around Kharn's arm link in there.

It probably broke some time in the last few thousand years, and Kharn's too busy to fix it. Though what exactly he does between massacres is beyond me.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.
