G'day all!

I've decided to start this blog to show you, as the name suggests, my miscellaneous projects.

I'm keeping myself busy with the Chaos half of Dark Vengance, as you'll see in a moment, and I have some Immortals, as well as army painter plate metal primer in the post.

I've also reorganised my modeling table, and my paints this evening. Woooh what an intense Friday night

I'll *try* update regularily. Come along for the ride!

Looking foward to your feedback on the chosen!

Wow, Finally I see him done! Those eyes look awesome. Really scary and I love how the blue is so uniform
yet
ununiform! You know!
Only thing I can suggest is that ye rotate your images I literally downloaded these so i could flip em and see the awesomeness without twisting my neck, but I love it! I want to see more and it'd be an honour fighting alongside these lads on the field.

Intresting technique you might wanna try on the metallics

Mithril has been slowly dyed down to a really old bronze with a lot of layers of sepia, chestnut ink, purple wash, and badab black. Each layer was painted on carefully to make sure it pooled around rivets etc to give them extra detailing.

Bronze will get a very thin mithril highlight and a little hand finishing, then it's time for his mouth and bone/hooves tomorrow. I'm really happy with how he is progressing.

I'm not too sure to be honest, I just made the scheme, but they could be 1k sons... I have to decide soonish

G'day Reaper, hope you like what you saw! And the misc route seems to be a safe way to go if you jump as much as I do.

I like the wethering on the red but the grey/ metal body need a wash or two. Secondly the power elements need a lighter highlight. cables and gun coils. Lastly paint the front bottom tubing a different color to break up that area.

coming along nicely.. are you moving now to Necrons?

Cheers SL. The body has had a badab and a sepia wash already, I suppose another one can't hurt however. The orange weathering is something I'm very pleased with. The power elements shall receive a higher-light. THE CABLE! I knew I was missing something, I had my tin bitz out for it and everything!

Advice heeded, and shall be acted apon

Im not sure if 2 badab washes are what's needed here, but perhaps be more liberal when you apply the first wash. I literally splodge litres down oon ym model, then dry the brush, and suck the wash up where it pools on flat surfaces so it dries well toned and still clean.

Alrighty! Long time no update!
I haven't been working on much latley, important summer matters to attend to, you know, swimming, partying and the like. However I have taken the time to try something a little different, as well as give yellow another shot. Both are WIP but I'm very pleased. The thousand son was me dabbling in a few different teqniques.

Well, it's my birthday today, and I'm off to a 2 week flight school in a few days, so no updates for a little while (no change there )

C&C please, I really would like to know where I need to improve.

Stay safe, stay excellent

Nice.. your getting better with each mini. Practice make better minis!

I like to do the red ( knee, straps ect ) with the color Dark Earth ( not sure what the new GW color is ) the I put on my red in light layers as to let the darker color show through at the recesses. It can be done to make the leather look more worn. Sepia is another good method for making it look more dimensional.

Have a great B-day

Happy Birthday Proto, May it be a good one!

Those Lamenters and that Thousand Son (going for the pre-heresy look, I suppose?) look great! You are certainly getting better!

I suppose I'm now obliged to update now, too
