Hey all

Very excited yesterday when my model came in and even though she wasnt' as tall as I thought she would be (She's a little short to be a stormtrooper)
once I put her on her base it wasn't that bad..and after a days work I'm pretty proud of the work I did

now I'm not the best modeller or painter so please be gentle = P but I could use some constructive criticism...I'm thinking about keeping her eyes pure white but open to suggestions..do you think it's a good idea?

You look like you're old enough to know how to take a photo of something without your face taking up 60% of the photo.

It's an interesting model; I haven't seen it before. What is it/where's it from? How tall is it, actually? What size base is that?

Your color choices look pretty solid. Not sure on the yellow; it can be a tricky color.

Well it was on a webcam and I had a hard time taking a picture and making sure it was in frame...otherwise I would have gotten my big head out of the way..thanks for giving me credit though on what things I should know about = P

It's from Kabuki models and I bought it from coolminiornot.there was only a few left when I bought it....called Hellinka I believe?

54mm and um...the base is a bit bigger than a Termie base that's all I can say

don't get me started on yellow though ugh I hate painting with it...but something about the model said I should go blonde...black or brown just wouldn't cut it..not striking enough I think

Looks good, I don't play chaos, but I could use it as a Myrmidia statue for my fantasy army, I may have ot check them out.

It's hard ot tell from the pic, or maybe it's a bit washed out from the lighting, but she looks a bit bruised up. is that intentional? part of the painting process you use, or are you still in the process of painting it?

As to the eyes, I think white might make it look unfinished, perhaps a green, red or something that could suggest a glow? Even if white eyes are the intention I think most people would be like 'where's her eyeballs?' But ultimately, it's you that has to be satisfied with it.

I could probably play around with it Alleton and see what works best...like I said I'm not a great painter so if that doesn't work out I might have to just stick with white..lol usually I put in some eyes but in this case lack of pupils may not be a bad thing

honestly the "bruised" effect isn't intentional I think I may have gone a bit too far with the wash and I'm a little afraid to clean it up and put too many coats of paint on her..I already put three layers of flesh cause I didn't like the lightening up of her that I did with the second coat and went back to the original tone

I'll see if I can do a little bit of cleaning up on her...if not bruised she may have to stay lol
