Hello all,

Here is my Swarmlord, from Hive Fleet Kraken. It's the first Tyranid model I've painted, and I found great fun to work on - it certainly made a refreshing change of pace from my usual Grey Knights!

For some reason, the photos show him being pink when he is actually red. I don't know why, but I am only using my phone to take the pictures with.

Hope you enjoy!

Looks really well done. I've tried to fix the hue for you in photoshop.

Spoiler:

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

Nice colors but I feel it needs some shadowing and highlights to really bring it out. Other then that nice work.

This is really great; clean with really good highlighting.

My only complaint would be that I'd prefer black Bonesabres highlighted blue in order to contrast with the rest of the model and offset that red a bit.

Still, really great model,

Not bad. I think it could use a harder highlight on all its carapas Maybe try a 2:1 mix of the pink you were using with white. Could really do wonders with bringing the mini to life. Other than that well done!

I actually thought the pink worked.
But that red looks good with the bone.

I agree. I think the pink could work with nids very well if done right, give 'em a more fleshy feel to them. Great job on the model OP. I would probably give the carapace highlights a stronger color so they stand out more.
