Just finished up Kharn, though I'm not too sure about the sword. I may replace it with a chain axe, what does Dakka Dakka think? All CC and comments welcome!

Ok so I removed the sword and skulls, made the eyes glow a little more, put just a hint of glow in his mouth area and added a little to his chain axe. I think it looks much, much better. Any ideas or suggestions are more than welcome!

Great paintjob! Ido agree about the sword replacement; however, a large weapon stuck in the Berzerker's skull might be a little too distracting from Kharn himself.

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

I agree. Why is the sword levitating? It looks awkward and out of place, why don't you have the sword resting on the ground?

Other than that it's a great paintjob. Love the nice gradient on those berserker horns.

Yeah, I think I'll remove the sword. I'm really bad at basing lol. It's one of those ideas that sound really cool in your head until you actually do it. You think it would look better without a weapon at all? Or maybe just moved to a different spot?

Probably just remove it altogether. It takes away from what is an otherwise pretty impressive model.

Skulls for the skull throne. Great Job. I love the sword wedged into the helm but it does distract from the rest. Why not a Ultrasmurf helmet with a dagger in each eye. Blood for the blood god...

I like the model but don't like how he is standing on a giant boulder. That thing is massive, haha. But the paintjob is well done

Yeeeeeah, I really need to work on my basing skills lol. I think I'm going to pick up some of that cork board this weekend. That seems to work the best on this scale. I'm still fairly new to all this, so there is a lot I don't have/know how to do. Thanks for all the comments so far though!

I also believe that the photo with the gun is better.

I think I see where your idea was with the sword, problem was it looks as if it's only just grazed the helmet and been left in there.

If you want a "sword in a helmet" on a base, how about snipping the sword to half length and putting it at an angle into the helmet, as if it's plunged through and pinned it into the ground. It'll shorten the size of the sword, make it clearer why it's there and be less distracting. Though to make it blend in you'd need to surround the base with more details so it doesn't stand out too obviously. More rocks / debris / skulls etc.. with Kharn trampling over the lot of them or something.

I'm not that good at basing either - Still, the paint job is great, he's such a fun model too.
