Subject: Painting the Warmachine and hordes miniatures

Hello,
I have recently decided to start playing war machine, with my kids and others if I find people interested in my area.
Therefore I got the 2 players starter set and started assembling then painting.
1st I had to assemble everything before painting so we could play before all is painted. This makes some things much harder to paint.
2nd I magnetized the Jacks, both arms and waist, the magnetization of the waist mostly to facilitate transport, it means that I still have possibility but only partially.
This being said I'll post some pictures and links to 360 of my models WIP and done.
For now I have finished the Khador Jacks (bellow a couple of pics before I was done with the bases, will add a pic of the final work later) and 2 Man of war shock troopers. I added a pic bellow but you can also see a 360 view here
http://arqspin.com/s/3nrop2ql4pbzg
and here
http://bcerrina.com/pp360/MoWShockTroopers/index.html (quality on the 360 is not as good on that second link but it is hosted on a server which has less chances of going down.
Going to finish the other 3 troopers tonight and then start on Menoth.
Any feedback on the paint job is welcome

I am not familiar with this game, but I hope that the rules and codexes are easier to follow than Warhammer. The figures look interesting.

Well I just started with this game and at least the rules are simpler to follow and better thought through than war40k.
I don't have a codex yet and they aren't as necessary as in the case of war hammer so I am not sure if I will get one.
The settings and the figures is nice, it is in a fantasy steam punk world. The warjacks (the robots at the top ) are steam powered and have a magical cortex. The battles are of smaller scale than war 40k and an interesting twist is that your general or warcaster is both very powerfull but also vulnerable as his lost means the lost of the game.
There is a similar compatible game called Hordes in the same setting but for fighting forces composed of monstrous creatures controlled by a warlock, they have different mechanisms but are made to be able to fight one another.
You can look up the Privateer press site for both miniatures pictures and info on the game including some quick start rules.
All in all I am happy with the purchased starter box and I am already thinking about how to make some of those warjacks out of paper...

Thanks for the comment on the game process. A long time ago, I played a table top game, in which the pieces had three movements (May have been an earlier version of Necromunda) When it was your turn, you had three options.for movement phase. 1. Hide 2. Move out of cover and shoot, 3.Move back into cover or you could stay out in the open and fire three times and take your chances. If you should decide to make paper items, pleas post them in the other websites as well. Enjoy and see you around the forums.

All the Kadhor soldiers are also done and I am working on the second faction.
I took a few pictures during a game
Man o war vs Cinerators, the chasm between the 2 (a hole in the table) gave an advantage to the halberd wielding man o' war and their reach.
These 2 jacks got tired of range combat and decided to duke it out up close and personal
after a bit of combats, the 2 'jacks are both missing their left arm. The box on top of which they are will become a tower sometimes in the future but for now some imagination is required

I am finally done with the battle box, the last two models were the warcasters.
I have created a 360 spin for Sorscha and will do so shortly for Kreoss, speciall since at the time of those pictures the base was not completely finished.
Here is the 360 for Sorscha, I also included a picture but I think that short of having the fig in your hand the 360 "spins" are the best way to present them (specially considering my lack of photographic talent and equipment):

You might find you wont get much feedback with just a link, most people wont click on it.
Your better off with normal pics and the link to the 360 image.

thanks for the advice, I think it is very sound.
Anyway current WIP is a mechanik, modified to have a great coat and a sword it will be used as a character for IKRPG.
I still need to do the basing.
also I think I need to add something to the coat, some piece of leather that goes from the fur collar to the waist to better show that the coat is opened and the blue is the clothes (a mechanik overall) he wears underneath it. I am thinking about this due to a remark from my wife who visualized him with a closed coat and didn't understand why the front was blue.
This is my first time sculpting clothes (pretty much the first time scultping with the exception of some bases) and I missed that. However I wonder if it is a smart idea to add more greenstuff after the paint is mostly done I am afraid that it wont' stick.
