Welcome to blogging and great to see LOTR non-the-less! Now I am not a fan of WotR but they are the same mini's so it's all good!
Don't worry about your painting, it looks like you have a solid start there in fact this blog will be a great way to document your improvement as your force expands so go forward confidently! A wash and some highlights and you'll be bonza!
