I like it, it has good edge highlighting, you picked out all the details and added effects like smoke stains over exhaust ports. Also the mud is very decent. My only suggesting would be to add even one layer of a lighter red on those lenses, it would make them pop. Here is a good tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfqGZMEi7Bc

Thank you green, i thought the weathering may of been a bit over the top lol.
Igloo, with regards to the highlights, they are dry brushed on, but after watching that youtube clip, I am thinking about just painting thin highlights on? in your opinion what would be best? Thanks for the video, I will defo attempt that

I think the highlights you have now look great, but if you like the look of edge highlighting everything so dramatically like in the video, go for it, it just takes way more time than drybrushing.

I've got a vindicator I need to paint so I may try different highlighting technique with that. I do have a razorback from when I was 15. I've cleaned it up a little because the paint job was terrible, and the highlighting i've done was painted on as I started up again, but I think i've failed big time haha.

I think that you have a good basis to expand on.
Varying the types of metal that something (say guns) might be made of will give you a chance to add more colours hence more interest. As an example the gun barrel might be blackened, the flash suppressor stainless and the receiver painted O.D. The tracks can have dark cruddy recesses and very bright ridges,
I am not a fan of high-lighted edges unless it is an area of wear and tear with bare metal showing through. Rubbing a matte-painted surface with a cloth will provide a slight sheen giving its own natural high-lights
Lots of 'detail' and interest can be added just with paint! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the reply tankworks. After looking around other peoples models i now see mine lack that cutting edge i so desperately desire.
There are so many new things to try but I never know where to look, the red lenses youtube clip previously posted is a great idea, and i can't wait to give that a go. The tracks for example, my base coat is black, could you recommend any colours or tips to add more detail to them ?
Thanks again.

That razorback is horrible. Send it so that I can fix it up and then forget to send it back.
All kidding aside, IMO, that tank looks good as is.

As long as its not done with a yellow or pink highlighter all is good.

Solid piece, detailed but with subdued weathering. Sometimes I think folks go a little overboard with "mudding up" the tank tracks.

Thanks Brian, yeh I didn't want to go over the top with weathering, looking at other tanks I think I need to add some battle marks though, such as scratches and bullet dints, but again thats something new I need to learn.

I second that. I would say if part of a muddy diorama then dump mud all over the place otherwise less is probably more. If the tank is in use in soft ground then the recesses will have bits of earth lodged in them and the ridges will be worn smooth and shiny (disregarding rock chipping or battle damage). If the tank has been left parked for a few days the tracks will begin to rust, lightly at first but worsening with time. Of course that only pertains to steel tracks, rubber padded tracks present their own set of perameters. They would weather like rubber tires and wheels. It is thinking out the details like this that set some models apart, photographic research of military vehicles will go a long way towards getting a realistic look.

I would also suggest trying to do something with the lenses like a lighter color and then use the gloss varnish to make it shine or something. The model overall is outstanding!

Thank you tankworks. I think I will do a little research into military vehicles, then try to input some onto my tanks.
And thank you tankboy for your kind words.
