I gave the text a quick once over, editing for clarity. I removed a few awkward phrases and punctuation errors, while trying to keep your stylistic choices and meaning intact.
One of the most dangerous species of Squig (after militant and suicidal Squigs) is the "Squig Brain-Taster!"
Here is the reason why they are so dangerous... they suddenly dash toward the victim's head and latch onto it, trying to reach the victim's brain with their tongue. If successful, they gain control of the basic, primitive reflexes of the victim. However, the Squig Brain-Taster is, itself, rather underdeveloped and thus cannot take full advantage of this situation. They are content merely with the periencephalic fluid (liquid surrounding the brain) of the victim. While the fluid is being drained, the victim will perform basic commands given by the Squig Brain-Taster. It should be noted that the squig gives these commands spontaneously and unconsciously.
The result is a rather silly picture - the victim often performs strange and funny actions (jumping, falling down, hopping, walking on his heels, etc.), accompanied by uncontrollable emotion (laughing, crying, snoring, imitating the sounds of other creatures (although I hesitate to consider those last two "emotions"), etc.).
Common victims of this squig type are grots and snotlings. This is because of greater ease in accessing the brain.
During the entire process, the squig simply hangs on to the head of the victim, having no need to mask its presence.
Squig Brain-Taster lives are usually short, as a passing gretchin will often kill them with a well placed and equally well savored kick. Affected gretchin will sometimes accidentally crush the skull of an attacked squig while performing its involuntary actions, as well. Either is a hilarious spectacle.
