The Loota Gitz Sellswordz are my merry band of ork mercenaries who work in the Segemntus Obscurus region (eye of terror).
"Willz fight for youz poonie udda races for a good loot'n".
They go hand in hand with my Grey Truth CSM Renegade chapter who frequently hires them as tarpits.
Enough of the fluff and lets get into it.

The purpose of this thread is to strut my stuff (show you my army so far). I've converted some units so far which I'll post later because its 12.31 PM here right now and cbf.
My chaos army I'll make a thread dedicated to them so look out for them. Anyway stay tuned on this thread to see my conversions.

Was this meant to be the intro post of a P&M blog? If so, you accidentally posted it in the general P&M forum. If not, you might want to wait until you're ready to add the content, next time.

Sorry it was late when I posted this last night and now I'm working so haven't got time to post pictures.
So where should I put this topic then?

If it's a long-term or particularly involved project, like a titan build or the progress of an entire army, it usually goes in P&M Blogs. If you just wanted to show off a few conversions and get some feedback, this is the right place. I just thought it seemed odd to make a post with a bit of background and an announcement for the eventual unveiling of the models, when the information could just as easily have waited until you could post the pictures along with it. Not a huge deal, but some people consider it bad form. Seeing as you're new here, I simply thought it worth mentioning, for future reference, as folks can occasionally be a bit... gruff when pointing things like that out.

No problem - the mods here are good about moving threads, as you've now seen. Well, since I'm already this involved, I'll at least have to stick around until I see the models. By now I'm really curious!

Yeah ... turns out the camera on my phone is actually really sh*t so all the images are blurry, because of that I'm not gonna blog my conversions.
But I'll just post what I have so far and stop at that.

The 1st - 3rd are of my Devilfish converted Looted Wagon. I added a forgeworld killkannon to represent the boomgun. I also added a reinforced ram at the nose of the wagon (the rows of spiked blades there are so you can chop when ya shoot when ya GO FASTA', ork multitasking at its finest). At the cockpit you see that thing sticking out, yeah that things an old warbike chassis which I wasn't using, I saw how plain the wagon was so I decided to 'crash' the bike into it. Theres also an ork popping out of the hole all to feel the wind. On either sides of the bike I added some 'reinforced plates' which have looks like logs welded onto the wagon ... somehow. I opened up the 2 access points on either side of the Devilfish and turned them into firing points (gonna add some mounted guns onto it soon). I plan on putting a wrecking ball at the back of it out of sprues, but we'll get to that later.

The 4th -6th pic is a chaos rhino/old ork trukk converted looted wagon. Now I really, really hated the old trukks because they were plain ugly, and at the time I had an unused chaos rhino, an old bike, a burst cannon and an extra ork boy. So I took apart the rhino and the trukk, putted them back together, and then added the 'anti-air' ork as the gunner next to the driver. Later I added the kannon from the forgeworld ork mega dread killcannon arm onto the back to make it into a boomcannon.

The third pic is just an old deff dread. I had it lying around and missing both arms and a gun so I added some bitz from the newer deff dread onto it and ere's it is.

So yeah the quality is really bad so I plan on blogging my ork army once I get a better camera, when I get a better camera.
Enjoy

Love the guns - the proportions and placement feel spot on, without appearing to require terribly extensive conversion to get mounted. Surface additions beyond those are just icing on the cake. Looking forward to seeing some clearer (possibly even painted ) shots once you sort out your photo setup.

On that topic, it might be worth playing around with your phone a bit more, even while you save up for a new camera. Looking at the pics, the blurriness appears to be more of an issue with focusing on the wrong plane than camera shake or horribly low resolution. I'd try moving the camera (phone) back a bit (cropping the resulting pictures down, if need be) and placing the models in front of a solid backdrop. Sometimes, waving an object around in the same plane as the model can help trick the lens into focusing where you want it to, as well. Even mediocre cameras can yield serviceable pics, with a bit of playing around - proper focus trumps higher resolution, in nearly all cases. Whether you consider it worth the effort is an entirely different matter, of course.

Thanks for the tip oadie, you were right. All I needed was a crisp background, good lighting and to fiddle with my phone a bit more. I owe you my thanks. Top bloke.
