So I decided I wanted Ork allies for my CSM force, and that I definitely wanted a Big Mek with a shokk attack gun. I think a lot of what GW makes is awesome in terms of the actual models. I think 80% of it is completely overpriced, and not worth it. A prime example is that exact model, Big Mek with shokk attack gun, now in the lovely nonsense that is finecast. $40 for a single man sized model, just no. No, no, no, no. When I look to the left of the box and on the shelf is a freaking attack plane for $10 more, it just makes me scratch my head and wonder...

So, I decided to make my own! I had picked up 3 packs of gretchin (my two troops), and 3 packs of loota's (my anti-air option), and had a couple other bits thrown in from "The Box". All in all, I'm pretty happy with the concept and how it turned out. I don't think anyone will question what it is on the table

Oh nice man. I was thinking on orking up my chaos army too and plan on converting the AoBR boss to a force field big mek, but damn does a shokk gun look nice.
If only a mek can carry both right, so damn OP.

Actually just got lucky, he came from a grab-bag bits box I got off ebay. Lots of cool pieces for about $20.
