short things short. i paint since 1 1/2 years from now. i'm an imperial guard and dark angels player but i love to do small conversions.
i painted an ultramarine with the idea of a tyranid hunter.
i would appreciate feedback on my paintjob and my conversion. i'm open for hints.
general information: i'm planning to paint a standard and put it on the top of his backpack.
note: the little white dots on the right shoulder purity seal is gone. i saw it on the pic and removed it
if you want to see something more accurate i can take another picture of it and post it in this thread

great job. looks a little weird, cant see the feet so looks like he has none lol.
um i think a banner would set him up just right, or clutter him (try n find out.) If you do try the banner, get a section of a wing from a hive tyrant or something like that and use that for his banner

Having a banner made of a tyranid wing would be awesome, it would go with the head on the bolter perfectly.

I would repaint the ripper to look like it's just bone left. right now, it look like he's holding a live ripper.

Other than that, it looks very good.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Any suggestions how to do that?

If anything I feel like it should be darker; it already looks pretty dead to me but the front of the carapace looks especially bright. If you look at human corpses, you see that they get much darker as they decompose.
Personally, the helmet looks like it may have been painted on thick as it looks like it has too much texture to it (although that may be a 'feature' of being a GW model).

Looks fantastic otherwise, I love it.

I've darkened the colour of the ripper and made a close-up shot
i think it looks quite good, i made the tooth stand out a little for an accent.
and btw the close up shows that the bolter comes out of the mouth of the ripper. was quite a work to do that but i think its worth the effort

This looks brilliant, better than the GW models. The only thing I can suggest is to maybe paint the ripper's face a bit lighter to make it look like a husk. But yeah, awesome job mate.
