So I just started my dark elder army and built my first raider. So after looking at the 2 of them I was wondering if anyone has magnetized the side turrets on a ravager so you could pull them off to use it as a raider?
I've never done it, but it should be easy the turrets just might be pointing up because it would elevate the turret slightly. for tourneys it would obviously matter but the guys at FLGS never have a problem proxying
I have. Basically you make the model using the Raider bits except that you don't attach the gunner "chairs". A magnet then goes into the top and bottom spots on the Raider and counterpart magnets into the top and bottom of the "chair". You'll need to remove the little pegs from the chair first. I did mine using 3mm magnets and it works fine.

Do you think it would be possible to magnetized the chair arm too? Maybe by drill up thru the bottom of the ship and doing a magnet at the end of the chair arm that is inside the ship?
