This is my first Flames of War model, I picked up the starter and went right to work. Took a good 5-6 hours. I also haven't painted in around 4 months so it's good to be back.

The painting is fine from what I can see, but there's the matter of that nasty gap between the hull and the glacis plate, and there appears to also be a gap between the upper hull sides and the rest of the hull.
It's missing unit markings, which would give it some character.

Thank you for the comment. I was disapointed when I was putting it together and the gap between the tight track and the hull was there, that was Wargaming's fault and I didn't exactly have the money to spare for putty. Decals didn't come with the starter set which also made me mad since I bought decal softener. Perhaps the store will have US decals next time I go, because I really want them.

As someone that has put together the Open Fire Shermans, I can agree that the lack of "fit" sucks. I tried my best, and I know there is probably some gap I missed.
The paint job does look good, you could always try to paint on the unit markings if you can't get your hands on decals.

Thanks for understanding, please tell me that regular Sherman Platoon boxes aren't this bad?? I'm going to the store today to pick up decals because the owner finally ordered some. If i'm playing British, which ones should I get, the general ones?
