I have 3 Dakkajets (magnetizing the bombs so i can use them as all 3 jets, case youre wondering what the magnets are for on the 2nd photo) and im painting them drastically different from each other so its easier to pick them apart.

This one i am intending to call "Da Blue Razor" but my issue is the finish paintjob. I am torn between ideas lol.

Should i go with a blue-white flame on the leading edges of the jet, or should i just go with a heavy chipped-paint idea? I think the flames would be easier, but the colors im not sure would make it cool enough.
EDIT: Oh, light-blue flames with white tips to clarify how im envisioning it. It would be on the tail, wings, and the nose.

Ignore the blank base, thats unpainted for a reason. I already have a base built for this thats got water-effects on it, i just dont wanna get paint on it
Also dont bother mentioning making the engine stand out. I am avionics in the military and i know how theyre suppose to actually look, im just doing that last since its just wires i gotta paint really (and highlights)

If anyone can think of a third possible idea, im up for suggestions!

EDIT: Hmm...i just noticed a fun fact about these things. To scale, the bullets you see are insanely large lol. I worked on A-10s in the past, even those bullets arent as big as these. Thats scary rofl

Checkers - orky text would be neet. but flames on blue i dont know they tend to look better on red or black flyers.
Also orky graffiti ^^ (skulls etc)

Lots of flames then a good deal of paintjob damage... chips, burns, dinks and rust, don't forget the rust..

You can't go wrong with checks and ork grafiti

Meh im not a fan of the checker for the sheer fact i suck at straight edges lol. Im going with the flames, so far im liking it. My fine tip brush is being reglued atm though..the metal came off the stick ughh.
Paint damage is kinda mandatory for orks, i was more referring to heavier than usual or, more rather, extreme detail wear and tear not just metal-paint edgings and random streaks. Which is what i normally do (drybrushing light metal paints ftw) or sponging a dark, reddish brown for rush.

Once i get the flames done i'll post another pic. Might be awhile though thanks to that stinkin brush breaking lol (got bout half of the flames fine-touched with light blue, gonna finish the rest then do the white tips) (yes i know, light then dark for fire, it would look weird having it white light blue on a dark blue jet)

EDIT: While my hand is good at detail, im not THAT great for hand-done graffiti lol transfer sheets waiting for their turn already.

EDIT2: Flames are done. I think my paints were a little thick because i had a very hard time getting it smooth but at arms-length (which is what matters most) it looks damn awesome. Originally i had some on the middle behind the pilor too, but either i messed it up or it just looked weird so i took them out.
Now to just do some finishing touches....then onto jet#2

I think it looks sweet. Definitely not a normal ork color, so it sets it apart. I'm looking forward to getting my 2nd dakkajet next month.
