‘Frozen skies’ is a new wargame/RPG setting sourcebook which can be used with any system.

Set in the mysterious, frozen lands of Alyeska, it is an in-depth and informative guide to its history, geography, myths and legends.

The book also introduces characters who have made names for themselves in Alyeska including those living on both sides of the law, the pioneering ice pilots without whom the land would be virtually uninhabitable, and the various factions who strive to bring civilisation to this inhospitable world.

Having worked on the setting for over a year, this is the first title to be released under the newly formed Utherwald Press. Now ready for the first edition to be released, it is the intention of this fund raising campaign to allow me to self-publish a limited print run in order to both sell, and promote. A PDF version will also be available.

As well as any kind donations towards getting this project off the ground, please pass on word of this book to anyone who may find it beneficial to either their current games, or to those who may be looking for an interesting new setting. All help is very much appreciated!

For those interested, I have had an article published in one of the books for the wargame A Very British Civil War by the indie company Solway Crafts and Miniatures.

It is both, a copy of the book and a PDF.

No worries.

The project page is a bit odd, giving no information on the product beyond "Having poor career prospects I try writing and it's diesel-punk" and just asking us to pay for travel costs and an Expo booth. If you want to sell us a product, tell us about it.

Being involved in a small press endeavor, I've gotta say, it's pretty difficult to drum up support from scratch. What I'd recommend doing is investing some time and capital in it yourself, and, once it's got a little momentum, then it might be time to look for crowd funding.

Much punchier intro, there.

Any of that artwork done, to post? It's kind of lame, but gamers have come to judge projects based on their art etc., even when the games aren't miniature-oriented. It might help. Layout/interior design/table of contents might also give people a better sense of what they'd be getting.

Artwork is something I'm still waiting on, stated earlier that soon as I get some pictures from off the artist I'll post it up.

Only previews I can do is some of the text.

One way or another I'll have some artwork to show off within the next few weeks, even if it involves getting a new artist.

Currently have 2 backers with a total of £30 pledged thus far.

We're onto the final month guys, contribute or spread the word!

Still experiencing delays in getting the artwork done.

As a result pledge rewards for the funding campaign may end up being a month late than what is currently listed, but once I get some solid dates then I'll let people know.
