Howdy all!
Let me start off my new blog like this.
My name is Keelan Halvorsen, I am 17 years old, and I live in a small coastal town called Ketchikan Alaska. I have always loved the Ideas of miniature models, and have always loved painting just about anything that isnt 2D.
I started off with a few random 40k units just because they looked really cool, and found that I had a growing addiction to Mini war gaming. Even though Ive always had extreme interest in this hobby, I have never actually met another player of any game system (To my Knowledge) in my local area. Eventually I just got fed up with hoping, and decided to quit.
About two months ago my small town ended up getting a gaming shop and a really friendly community where most people play MTG but they openly accept Miniature games of all sorts and have even began to sell GW products. This really made me want to get back into the hobby knowing there is a chance that I may be able to finally take a seat in the community I have been dreaming of for about Eight years+. Most of the players here are only at a Kill teams Level, and only for 40k (Some play Reapers "Warlords" A game I personally think the system of is garbage.) But it really Is a start. We have One or Two Warmahordes players, but they are very infrequent in their gaming schedule. I am even doing Minor commission work for a few people in our area. One of said players took me through a Demo game of Warmachine and I instantly fell in love with the system. Right after Christmas I went out and bought both of the Two player starter sets for warmachine and hordes and have been slowly expanding.
For the past Two years I have been the dungeon master of a local group of friends who all love D&D. Our previous campaign just wiped last week and I announced that this next campaign Is going to be set in the Iron Kingdoms. This confused EVERYONE and so I told them a little about the world, and over the past week I ran demo games of Warmahordes with them all. 4/5 of my players got together and decided that they loved what they played and just bought their own Battle-boxes for various factions.
This isnt to say warhammer dosent have that special place in my heart, I currently have a pretty cool Deathguard army, and may even be looking to expand to fantasy once my game store starts that up.

So this right here is a blog I had going for two posts about a over a year ago when I first decided to start seriously painting and playing all the miscellaneous models I have acquired over the past years. Directly after my second update I decided I didn't really want anything to do with this hobby because I was alone as far as I knew. Thankfully that is now back, and I am here to bring you Updates of all my WIP's and PIP's and the such.

Hey I just saw your stuff in the gallery, I love the paint jobs on the paper tanks with a bit more modeling work they could be fantastic.

Hello, Here is my first official Update,
I have been pretty busy lately.
I received the new Chaos Codex in the mail the other day, and I also Got the new Dark Vengeance boxed set!

Painting red is interesting to do, Its hard to not go too extreme on the orange highlights, I will make the next batch have a tad bit more contrast I want them to go from a dark wine to a Bright vibrant red color, tips?
Ive also made a bit of terrain for my Desert Cities of death board.

Im still trying to decide a theme for my circle orboros... Im thinking maybe an Aztec theme? I know I want to convert the models into something other than puppies, Maybe sculpt leopard heads?
