This is a Metal Ghazghul Thraka so i felt i needed to do something awesome to him on two accounts: metal is rare now, and hes ghazghul so feth it hes getting some attention

He himself is just painted well, with his normal bosspole removed obviously and replaced with a large magnet.

The base is cork rocks with plasticard, plastic pipe, wire, and plastic beams (same material, looks like an iron beam). He is wired down rather than glued, since im afraid his weight would rip the cork apart.

The bosspole is made of plastic pipes, wire, some spare sprue bits, orky glyphs, and of course a sacrificed marine. His legs are from a bike sprue i got for a buck for random looted pieces, i had to break off the cloak and reset his legs but looks great to me. The wire isnt copper, its just painted that way its just typical aluminum wire.

CC welcomed!
EDIT: These are pretty large so you should be able to zoom a lot.

An ork with an idea tends to end with a bang.

I like that, he's suitably dirty for the biggest badest Ork.
The bosspole is great as well, love that. And nice base too.
Overall great looking model, love it.

The marine came out better than i hoped. I havent painted anything (literally) except orks so i wasnt used to edging or a "cleaner" paintjob. The messyness on him was me taking my sculpting knife i use for greenstuff to it before i applied the washes or the 'ard coat....basically i ripped off a nice paintjob in pieces lol
I usually dont use 'Ard Coat since it gives a bit of a shine, but the paint on the metal parts was chipping away as i was painting it lol so i kind of had to do it. Applying the wash after the 'ard coat made it a bit duller, so it aint that bad now.

Looks great. My favorite part is that his tally follows no rules, that cross line goes whenever it wants! Nice orky detail.

Great job. It's always nice to finish a mini and be surprised how well it turned out
I like the fact you have added a bit of a story with the tally marks and banner.
I need to start doing that I think

Thanks guys.

The tally marks are actually transfersheet stuff. I think it came from a dakkajet one, i was trying to find the "Boss" glyph and found these instead.
Ive had this guy for awhile, i think hes around #80 painted model for my army even though i got him before i even had enough boyz to play. Didnt trust myself to paint him till now lol.

Well not sure about the actual paint job but the Base and the extra stuff added to it is quite very good and entertaining. You did a great work there!
