Wondering Why the Emperor Left

Hey, I got this model off my shady friend. The question, is in the title. While I don't think it is, my friend has a terrible history of making recasts of other merchandise.

(He's one of those friend's you'd never trust alone in your place, or show your other friends, if you catch my drift.)

I dunno man it looks pretty legit even if it was a recast its a really good one. One of my friends has some shady dreadnaughts that are recasts and some parts of them look like total crap. Also it seems like most recasts are in resin since its cheaper for all thy supplies.

Check this article out too it may help you figure it out.

Thanks for the link. I don't think it is but, I figured it would be better to just ask. It matches the other "white-metal" ones I have, I just found it to be odd for him to give it away.

If it is a recast there is no way to tell from the photo. The amount of detail looks good.

The figure seems to have slightly mismatched mould halves, causing a moulding line, and too much release agent, causing micro-pitting.

I have plenty of original GW Space Mariens that look like that. GW's casting quality control has often been patchy.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

No, it's not a recast

A lot of old metal warhammer stuff looks like gak with flash, mould lines and the like all over the place.

Also most recasts wouldn't have the detail that your miniature has.

If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!
