Instead of creating a new thread each time I put up another Battle Report, I'm just going to respond to this one.

Theres nothing wrong with posting a thread of links like this (to my mind at least). congrats on the win Atlantic (should put you in touch with Pacific and organise some sort of Oceans contest ), and thanks for the Bat Rep!
a couple of thoughts if thats OK...
Things i liked:
- BC pics are always good, changes in scale notwithstanding of course, and i appreciate the effort it takes to make them, so thanks
-putting in the reasoning for terrain placement and deployement. These are often game changing decisions (deployement often being cited as one of the most important phases in fact) so actually seeing the thought that has gone in to each placement makes a huge difference, as it isnt often done, again, thank you.
-clear and concise write up. This makes a huge difference to Bat Reps in my experience, just knowing the amount of models killed really helps see where attrition is winning the day, or when a unit has dropped below a Panic check threshold (as examples)
-(even better) with reasoning! I LOVE that you put the thoughts in behind your moves, this makes it a real learning experience for readers as i can see why you did something and thats a big thing....
Something i would have liked:
-Army lists....pwetty pwease? I guess that your army list is elsewhere on your blog (and believe me, i will be searching later....) but it makes a huge difference to me to be able to see what you and your opponent have chosen to field.

Second a lot of Revenant Reiko's thoughts. Thanks for the link and the time you put in the writeup. Even if you don't have the Army lists spread out at the beginning of the report, and obvious link to each would be pretty helpful. It makes it much easier to follow what's going on. Instead I was thinking "Oh, dude has two Dragonslayers?! That's cool..."
Also, could you clarify how the gyro was destroyed? It didn't seem totally legit to me. The knights that clipped it appeared to be charging something else, and you can't make contact with a unit without declaring a charge against it.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

Thanks RZ.
(In the same spirit) I second your thoughts on links, ala Ailaros (this one of his Bat Reps as an example):
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/501378.page
who has his blog set up specifically so he can just link to Army Lists (and other Bat Reps and things) within the blog, making it a bit easier to see who has what, and also to navigate as a whole...

Hey guys thanks for the comments!
I always play the same list, unless I have some extraordinary reason to change it. I basically do so to practice for tournaments.
The list I use is permanently posted at the top of my home page. There should be a link to Bretonnian List prototype. For my other battle reports I try to at least give a rundown of the other player's list, but I didn't have a copy of this one.
I should have wrote down about what I thought it was though.
As far as the gyro goes, I'm not sure it was legit either.
We played it like this. The Gyro was fleeing. My KotR unit made the charge to the Dwarf Slayer, but clipped the Gyro when I made contact with him.
We weren't really sure what to do there so we treated it like a charge against multiple units and as the gyro had already declared a flee reaction to the KotR, we didn't give it another one.
So the knights made a charge against the Dragon Slayer and hit the fleeing copter, removing it from play.
I don't believe that is 100% right, but it turned out ok.
I'm not really sure 100% about any of those charges.

I'm sure that was close enough but...
You can only declare a charge on multiple targets if it is impossible to contact your intended target without contacting a second one. In that case, you declare on both, and both get a charge reaction.
Furthermore, a single unit can (and in fact must!) make flee reactions to each charge declared against it once it is already fleeing. So, in this case, the gyro would have had to make a second flee from the knights of the realm in they were indeed required to charge it in addition to the slayer.
Anyway- that's a relatively obscure couple of corners to the rules, and I don't intend in any way for that to overshadow the good report. Just a thing I noticed!

woooh woooh wooh, Marching flying charriot? why?
The rules are pretty clear not even needed to FAQ.
¨Charriots of ANY kind, can't march in current rulebook.
It's something that might be updated for 9th eddition but it seems like a silly OP (house)tournament rule to me!

I think they are reading it as the fly special rule grants a 20" march move.
It doesn't really matter much to me either way. I wouldn't be surprised though if whenever the FAQ comes out if they rule either way.

Awesome batreps. Sucks that your opponent was getting frustrated/impatient in the Helf v Ogre game. Although I understand his frustration, you were very nice in that you refused to press home some of your advantages in honor of trying to make it a better game for him (not Charging the Guts in Elf 3, among others). Even so, at some point I bet I would be impatient and drive as many nails into his coffin as I could, but that is me. Awesome win with a cav list though!

I'm stuck on cavalry. There is just something about knights and such that resonate with me.
The guy I played against is a good guy, he just get's heated.
I feel pretty good about that elf list. I just need to learn to play it better. I really did not use my reavers well at all.
I think I'm going to take it to a big tournament in July. ~110 players
I think if I play it right and have a little bit of luck it should do pretty well.
