My wife is about to start painting her Daemonettes, but has decided that the heads are just too hideous even for her twisted senses. Does anyone have a suggestion for less scary heads?

Thanks!

Dark Eldar Wych heads? They might work on daemonettes.

Or maybe wood elf heads.

Wyches might work, but they aren't much less homely than the Daemonettes really...
Also, are there female Woodelf heads?

Dark Eldar heads are too big for Daemonettes, I tried the reverse (Daemonette heads on DE bodies) and the scale is off. I suspect Wood Elves would have the same problem. Dryads maybe?

Well the propotions of the daemonettes and DE faces are slightly different but i can't see a noticeable size difference. After measuring them there is a minor size difference from chin to top of the head of ~0,5 mm ( daemonettes ~5,9 mm and DE ~5,4). The wood elves are in between with ~5,7 mm and will probably work.

The problem with wood elf heads is that there aren't that many female wood elves. And most of them having some sort of armor/leaf thing on one side of their faces or even wearing a hood. Example

I don't have dryad heads so i can't compare their size but they might work too. But only some as most of them are even more twisted that the daemonettes.

If you trust your sculpting skills you could also go with the hasslefree heads. But they come without hair... here or here

Dryad heads are feminine and look 'friendlier' than a Daemonette's. I went a step further and (after clipping leaves off here and there) used entire Dryad models for my Daemonettes. They also moonlight as counts-as Bloodletters. Great models with a nice, generic-demonic look to them.

If you just want to use the heads, they're about the same size. I think they'd fit a Daemonette body nicely.

Thanks all.
Yeah, I was actually eyeballing those Dryads. Hope I can find the heads on ebay as bitz, as I am unlikely to buy whole kits just to scavenge the heads off of.

My first suggestion would be to ditch the horrible plastic Daemonettes altogether and get the Not-Daemonettes from Raging Heroes (NSFW link).
Probably not an option for you, though. Other alternatives would be looking into heads from the various plastic Elf kits GW makes. A quick Google search found some sources for the dryad heads, so you'll be fine there. They were less than a dollar each, from what I could see.

I was unaware of raging heroes, thanks for the link. Loving their stuff.

*** Nevermind, answered my own question. Resin and white metal.***

Those look fantastic and I'm tempted to get her a few boxes. Do you know if they are polystyrene or if they are resin, or maybe even PVC? I'd be much more inclined to get them if they are poly.
