Hi Dakka. I've been into
40k since Rogue Trader, back in my teens. More into the painting/collecting side than actual gaming, and with numerous long breaks, so I have a lot to learn on the gaming side. Based in Brisbane Oz (
GW Chermside is my local).
I played a little of 2nd and 3rd, and a fair bit of 4th ed in the
UK (Eldar and Nuns), and pretty much skipped 5th as I sold everything in '05 when my first wee'un was born. However, now my eldest is almost 8 he found
GW LOTR, and the old itch began again. So here I am, with a shiny new Dark Vengeance box of my all time favourite
DA muhreens (plus some converted Space Hulk termies).
My boy is starting to get the hang of painting - most of the
LOTR stuff in
this album is his work. My 5yo daughter is also showing interest, and I've started her on some scenery.

I've had a game of Vassal, which I think is awesome, and just yesterday had my first tabletop game of
40k in 8 years at my local
GW store. Lost the match (500pt
DA vs Orks) but won the body count. C'est la vie.
