Hi all,

Over on the TG forum we have a bit of a paint along going on where people are painting 100points of Relics miniatures each month for four months until we all have a 400 point force painted up. Now, if you know me in anyway you will know that generally I detest painting. However, having been running the paintalong for two months, I am actually getting back into it and so thought I would start a thread on other forums to act as blogs for my progress in not only the paint along but also other projects I have no my shelving unit including (You will be pleased to read it's not all Relics related minis!):

Painting units for Relics War

Painting 2 15mm Sci-Fi armies (A mix of producers including Critical Mass and Hasslefree)

Painting a 15mm Ancients (Carthaginian) army

Painting a 28mm Ancients (Dacians) army

Painting a 28mm British Commando army for Bolt Action

Maybe even a VBCV force that has been sitting in it's blister packs for way too long!

So, I thought I would start off by showing the last two months worth of the Relics paint along models I am doing, the Nuem, then from that point onwards it will be WiP pics too.

Well, I have managed to fall behind again in the Relics Paint-Along challenge. By the end of Feb I was supposed to have painted 100 more points of Nuem. I have managed to get one dedicatus to 95% done (just needs his lenses done, another dedicatus painted to 90% done (just needs his skin highlighting and finished) and a Pueri about 10% done (undercoated and first coat of base colour for her cloth done.

March is the last month and another 100 points, so I need to get these done and another 100 points painted in 29 days. Doesn't sound hard but..... lol

Here's a pic of last months mins in their current state, I hope to have these complete today - But I doubt I will manage it! lol

Looking good, Gav - I'd suggest finishing off the big lads first, then cracking on with the Pueri.

That, or alternate between finishing them off and working on Pueri - either way, use the sense of accomplishment from finishing something to spur you on!

Yeah, that normally works for me too! But I tend to also work on multiple figures if they are using the same colours.

The Pueri was going to be a different colour but I decided late on to do her cloth the same yellow as the armour, so have had to bring her up to the same level before I can finish the others.

Very bizarre, as one of the Dedicatus only needs his lenses painting. lol
