Did a cursory search on the YMDC forum, but couldn't find an answer. This seems like it's a no-brainer, but I just thought I'd ask. I'm picking up an allied Ork detachment for my army, and I'm familiarizing myself with their rules, since I don't know them all that well.

The entry for Nobz says they can be upgraded to Nob Bikerz for 25 pts/model. Are they then able to still take wargear options? I've seen people talk about giving their Nob Bikerz this or that upgrade, but I thought that once they became Nob Bikerz, they ceased being Nobz and couldn't take any wargear available to Nobz (and not specifically to their new designation as Nob Bikerz). Am I just on drugs?

Yes, they can still take wargear options.

I'm pretty sure you get to chose the timing when wargear is purchased so you just basicaly buy all the powerklaws, big choppas etc then you can upgrade them to nob bikers.

I thought there was some big thread about this a while ago where the consensus was that you couldn't choose what order you bought the options in, wasn't there? That's my worry. It seems reasonable that the Nob Bikers would be able to buy Nobz options, but I don't want to go to a tourney and have my list stripped, or worse, be accused of cheating.

That but not mega armor that is the only thing you can't buy for a nob biker. sure you can buy heavy armor but what's the point with that? you allready get a 4+ thnx to the bike

It's not the same situation, as you're never really upgrading to a "Biker Nob". They're just regular Nobs with a Bike.

The 4+ from the bike is a cover save, isn't it? So you don't get that in CC.

its 4/4 you get it automaticly when buying the warbike.
