Working on my nurgle portion of my army. Decided to paint Typhus first. Critiques and comments welcome. Not a great painter by any means but I do love how he turned out

Mad paint job. Very Nurglesque. The base is also pretty damn cool.

I think that you have done a great job with a unified color palette. You have a very busy model, and you managed to keep him together aesthetically, which is no easy feat!

The base is somewhat worrisome to me. I think that the bright vibrant green is the most eye-catching color on the model, and it naturally draws the focus away from your awesome Typhus and down to the puddle. As a personal note, I think the green should end at the edge of the base, leaving the rim black. That might help cut down on the surface area of the green, which might help keep the base from stealing the glory. You could also try putting some sort of focal color point on the model itself, in order to keep the eye up top.

Great work, though! Are you going to get all Nurgley with the rest of your bases? If so it will look really nice! (And STELLAR ripple effect in the ooze, by the way!)

Yes I am using the same bases for all my nurgle followers. Thank you for the comments. Ill try to add a little brightness to Typhus and tone the slime green down a little. Nurgle followers are a lot of fun to paint! Everything is citidel paints and washes. I used white primer base and then nurgling green for the armor, used screaming bell for the hoses and hookups, leadbelcher for the armor trim. Then nuln oil to darken the lot, then seraphim Sephia to add brown texture. I use a crimson wash over the fleshy parts and for the base I used a bright green for the ooze and brown paint for the rock with codex grey dry brushed, then washed and highlighted. The ripples are a green stain with a thin nuln oil cover. Ill post a picture after a while with typhus and his plague marines.

Nice work. Tone down the base with perhaps a dark wash, paint the rim and you'll have yourself a very nice mini.

I love what you've done with typhus. Looks very nurgle. I agree with about the base, the brightness of it takes away from the rest of the model

I agree with the above posters, you should make the "rim" of the base black.

That looks good and Nurgly. I really like what you have done to the base with the green slime. Touches like that really mak things stand out.
