Hey I'm not a great painter but this is the newest addition to my 40k collection and I will be using him as counts as Belial occasionally. Here he is with and without flash. I can upload more pics tonight if anyone would like more.

Looks like in some areas the paint was to thick and that has a tendancy to show the brush strokes. Try thinning the paints with a bit of water before putting them on the model. What I do is to dip the tip of the brush into water then into the paint. That should help give a smoother coverage. Then add multiple layers to get a nce even color.

If you can get hold of a pin vice for the storm bolter barrels it can really help.

Of course, I ended up breaking mine and so am completely disregarding my own advice!

First off, undercoat your models this will help no end with the coverage, thin your paints as the gw ones are too thick straight out of the pot, use inyanden darksun over white, then mix 50/50 bleached bone and darksun, Finnish with pure bleached bone, this is the fastest way to do deathwing.

Actual I did undercoat them white and drybushed iyanden darksun for the armor before doing a light wash of black in the crevices. I prefer this look for the armor over the more traditional solid bone look since I feel this makes it subdued versus the focal points of the model ie. the weapons, face, etc.
