The original GW models din't look quite evil or 'elite' enough for me, so have been kit-bashing, converting these guys - made the first 10 and have started painting, the next 10 are in progress... Will post them as i finish them

Holy crap that's cool!

I see the bodies are from dark eldar (never thought of that as I wanted a dark elf army but was put off by the price of their special units) but where did the arms and other bits come from?

I especially like the 3rd model with the helmet. Also female black guard? Never thought of trying that!

Cheers for the comments - know the feeling - I purchased two boxes of kabalite warriors an then trawled 'bits' websites in search of the parts...

Used dark eldar kabalite warrior bodies.
High elf phoenix guard arms.
High elf archer capes (I'm looking at for my final 5 seeing if the high elf phoenix guard back armour/capes would fit the front plate of the kabailtes - watch this space)
Kabalite warrior, Wytches, Cold One knights heads - or generally any evil looking elf head you fancy!

Same here. If I ever get around to building a dark elf army (which tbh is unlikely) I will definately use this idea!

Looks amazing. My only question - did you do anything about te dark eldar backpack type things - cut them off and cover in a cloak?
